Firekeepers Daughter
by Angeline Boulley

View in Library Catalog

The main character is of both Native American and Caucasian descent, with her mother's family generally unaccepting of her Native American relatives. She ends up working undercover with the FBI to help identify memebers of a drug ring that sold to Native Americans. The plot line is very good, but in my opinion, there were too many characters and unfamiliar Native American words that made reading the story challenging.

What's Mine And Yours A Novel
by Naima Coster

A story of two families, over two generations, that includes poverty, single parents, racism, drug addiction, many types of love, racial political issues in a small town, and infidelity. I thought the ending was very unsatisfying.

Legal thriller involving the supreme court, and a justice who is in a coma. Lots of twists and turns. Soemtimes the multiple characters became confusing to me.
